We want to make our customers aware of an important update regarding the Isover U Protect System.
As of 29th July 2025, the U Protect System is no longer approved for use on kitchen extract ducts. This change is due to a reassessment of product data for this specific application.
The U Protect System remains fully certified and available for:
✅ Smoke extract ducts (EI 30–120 mins)
✅ Ventilation ducts (EI 30–120 mins)
However, it is not certified for kitchen extract ducts at this time.
We will continue to supply the product, but it must not be used for kitchen extract applications until further notice. If you require a solution for kitchen extracts, please get in touch and we will happily advise on alternatives.
